Mahalo for considering one of our vacation apartments for your trip to KAUAI. I am originally from NJ and moved to Kauai after graduating Colorado College in 1996. Surfing, laid back lifestyle, and the enchanting island itself drew me here. I was able to do extensive traveling, for months/years at a time, since moving here, visiting South East Asia, South Pacific, South America, and Europe. While working on a coral reef research ship in Indonesia, I met Kiko, from Venezuela, and after traveling/ working together, we got married here on Kauai in 2002. We currently live in a house in Princeville, a few minutes from our units, with our two island loving children, Ela, 5, and Luka, 2.

Why We Chose Hale Moi
Back in 2003 we bought this double-unit HALE MOI condominium to live in and remodel, since my husband, Kiko is a carpenter and we saw the great potential of these versatile units. Princeville is the Vacation Destination Area (VDA) of the North Shore, and these units are within walking distance to the beach and The St. Regis Princeville Resot. The layout, where each unit can be independent of one another, is very attractive. Hale Moi is a quite complex, which has at least half the 40 units occupied by residents, creating a less transient feel then some of the other condominium complexes in the area. We bought a unit on the top floor with privacy, a great view and much coveted loft space, which only the second floor units have. After the remodel, we started renting the studio, THE ORCHID ROOM AT HALE MOI, as a vacation rental. It was an immediate success. When the opportunity to buy a fixer upper house became available we moved out and soon made the second unit, THE ALOHA LOFT, a vacation rental as well.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
This unit's modern, clean tropical feeling is quite unique. Hardwood floors, simple tropical decor,
and touches of luxury really set this apartment apart from many of the older units available on the North Shore. Since we are travelers ourselves, we really set out to make this the place of our dreams. When you are away from home, you want to have a "home-base" that is clean, comfortable and equipped so that you are ready to explore, relax and rejuvenate as you please. Our units strive to provide these things. When we page through our guest book we see that we have succeeded.
